Alas the Bantams’ battalions cease to exist.

For just one year after leaving Albion’s shore.

The Bantam Brigade will be no more.

Too many little men have now gone west.

While hundreds more failed Landon’s physical test.

He forgot we volunteered and were not fetched.

For we did not slack, we followed the rest.

Not enough of the small uns now remain.

To maintain our Birkenhead founder’s name.

Taller men now join our ranks in battle.

Fighting a foe we were not scared to tackle.

So join in the old Bantams’ glorious fight.

We will still prove that small is right.

To send the Kaiser packing is still our aim.
